KATHMANDU, MAY 17

A former Royal Marines Commando Sniper in the UK armed forces and other climbers successfully scaled Mt Everest, organizers said.

Aldo Kane, who endured the toughest infantry training in the world at just 16 years old, has scaled Mt Everest being part of the expedition managed by Elite Exped.

Aldo, a former Royal Marines sniper-turned record breaker and TV personality, who is known for abseiling into the world's most active volcano for a BBC documentary called 'Expedition Volcano'.

According to reports, his film Unseen Enemy is about emerging viruses and global pandemics – and he has a documentary on Tigers: Hunting the Traffickers.

Rishi Bhandari, Managing Director at Satori Adventure, said that at least 13 climbers from his company stood atop the world's highest peak this morning.

"Kobielski Tomasz Andrzej from Poland, Chheda Pankhil Harish, Dedhia Mithil Raju, Kumar Sunil, Jain Yaashi from India along with Ngima Sherpa (Khotang) Mingma Temba Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, Furte Sherpa, Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Dorje Sherpa, Nurbu Sherpa and Ngima Sherpa from Sangkhuwasabha from Satori Adventure scaled Mt Everest," Bhandari said.
