Ayurvedic treatment service started by Kolti Primary Health Centre in Budinanda Municipality, Bajura, a year ago has started drawing more patients of late.

Dr Achyut Shali Ghimire said patients were attracted towards this form of treatment.

Ward 1 Chairman Nripa Khatri of Budinanda Municipality, also the chairman of Kolti Primary Health Centre, said people of remote areas were glad to get such service at the health centre.

The doctors have been providing ayurvedic treatment in the health centre for the last one year. More people seek ayurvedic treatment as it is believed that it has no side effects. Dr Ghimire and Chhatra Bam are ayurvedic treatment experts at the health centre.

As many as 40 to 45 patients reach Kolti Primary Health Centre for ayurvedic treatment on a daily basis. Patients suffering from different diseases visit the centre.

People from Bichhaya, Rugin, Himali, Dhulasain, Pandusain of Bajura and Khatyada of Mugu also reach the health centre seeking ayurvedic treatment.

The health centre has started providing free ayurvedic medicines ever since the second wave of coronavirus hit the district.
