Deliberations on the policy and programmes of Bagmati provincial government will begin at the Provincial Assembly tomorrow.

Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha announced that the deliberations would be held for two days starting tomorrow.

For this, the Provincial Assembly will meet at 11:00am. Earlier, today, at the assembly, Province Chief Bishnu Prasad Prasain tabled the government's policy and programmes for the coming fiscal year 2021- 22. The main goals of the policy and programmes are to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic and institutionalise the achievements of the province till date. Prasain said the government would set up 'Province Chief COV- ID-19 Vaccination Fund' to manage vaccines for all the residents of the province in coordination and collaboration with the central government.

As per the policy and programmes, the Bagmati government will provide educational and social security allowance of Rs 3,000 monthly to children who have lost both their parents to COVID-19. The 'subsidised credit investment programme for production and employment generation' will be continued in collaboration with banks and financial institutions.

Likewise, youths will be helped to develop entrepreneurship and selfemployment through technology transfer, so as to address the impact of COVID-19 on industry and tourism.
