KATHMANDU, JUNE 11

The Bharatpur Metropolitan City has announced a three-day holiday for schools from Tuesday to Friday (June 11–13) citing extreme heat conditions.

According to the metropolis, the decision was made to safeguard students as temperatures in Chitwan have soared to between 37°C and 40°C in recent days.

Parents are advised to keep children indoors during the daytime and prevent them from swimming in rivers or ponds or engaging in fishing activities.
