DAMAULI: Body of a man was found on the bank of Modi River in Byas Municipality-5 of Tanahun district today.

Police identified the deceased as Krishna Bahadur Dhakal (49) of Kalyanbesi in Madhya Nepal Municipality-8 of Lamjung district.

According to spokesperson at Tanahun District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lilaraj Lamichhane, locals who came across the body had informed the police. He said the body was found lying on the stomach.

The DPO had sent the body to Damauli Hospital for postmortem.

The body was handed over to Surya Bahadur Dhakal, elder brother of the deceased while an investigation into the case is underway, police informed.
