Brave buffalo crosses 3 bars to enter Bharatpur Airport

CHITWAN: Generally, no one can enter into an airport without any valid reason. But, something really strange happened at the Bharatpur Airport in Chitwan district this afternoon!

A "brave" buffalo crossed three security bars to reach the runway, leaving all stakeholders including the security agencies baffled.

As the female bovine was spotted on the runway at around 4:30 pm today, the two aircraft of Buddha Air could not land on time.

The animal, being ferried to Lanku, Bharatpur-7 from Gondrang, Bharatpur-12 had fallen from the minitruck (Ba 3 Cha 7921) just in front of the gate of the Bharatpur Airport.

Then, it had entered the airport premises crossing three wired bars, according to the Airport Chief Shiva Upadhyaya.

Security personnel at the main entrance had failed to stop the infuriated animal.

Later, security personnel, airport officials and staff of airline companies had cordoned off the animal and taken it back to the vehicle.
