JANAKPUR: A man died when a bus rammed into a bicycle he was riding on, along the Janakpur-Mahendranagar road section in Kshireshwor Municipality-4 of Dhanusha district on Saturday.

The passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 4698) heading to Mahendranagar from Janakpur had hit the youth heading toward the same direction on his bicycle, said Mahedranagar Police Office.

The identity of deceased, who appears to be in his mid-20s, is still unknown said, Police Inspector Laxman Singh Thakuri said.

Seriously injured in the accident, the cyclist had breathed his last on the way to a hospital, police added.

Police have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for further investigation.
