KATHMANDU: A well-known businessperson Raj Kumar Shrestha of Tulsipur, Dang,  who went missing since June 9, was found dead in Salyan district on Friday.

According to DSP Prem Bahadur Khatri at the Salyan District Police Office, his body was found buried in a jungle in Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality-4 of the district at around 11:00 am today.

The body has been airlifted to Tulsipur in Dang district, added Khatri.

Earlier, the Tulsipur Chamber of Commerce and Industries had presumed that Shrestha could have been abducted, and  had called for his immediate and safe release.

Shrestha, a permanent resident of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, is the owner of Butwal Bastralaya  in Tulsipur.

Rana Bahadur Gharti, a local contractor and a woman were accompanying Shrestha when he went missing. Police surmised that the other two had also been kidnapped.
