ILAM: As many as 3,553 people were informed of the violence against women and children and its consequences in a month-long campaign against rape and sexual violence in Ilam district.

The awareness raising campaign was conducted in 21 schools of the district from September 6 to October 7 this year.

The campaign was organised under the aegis of 20 different organisations active in the district including District Administration Office and District Police Office.

Campaign Coordinator Prakash Pariyar informed that the campaign that concluded on Sunday underlined the need to make society and guardians aware and educate girl children to keep them safe.
