Chand-led CPN cadre injured in police firing

TAULIHAWA: A cadre of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal has sustained injuries in a police firing at Turuntapur, Shivaraj Municipality-9 of Kapilvastu district this morning.

The cadre, Durga Bahadur Roka, was injured after police fired at him while he was fleeing when they prepared to raid his house.

Roka, who got a bullet injury on his leg due to the firing, is being treated at the Zonal Hospital in Butwal, Superintendent of Police (SP) Achyutam Pudasaini, said.

Police confiscated two submachine guns (SMGs), magazine used in the SMGs, 68 bullets, one Chinese pistol and its two magazines, and three rounds bullets from Roka's house.

Likewise, police seized two remote control devices, electric cables and materials used in making explosives.
