Chand-led CPN Maoist Siraha in-charge arrested for involvement in explosion
GAIGHAT, UDAYAPUR: Police have arrested Siraha district in-charge of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) on the charge of involvement in bomb explosions.
A team deployed from Udayapur District Police Office, acting on a tip-off on Thursday, arrested Ankul Raut, resident of Triyuga Municipality-7 in Udayapur district from his neighbour's house where he was hiding following a bomb explosion in the district recently.
Raut has also been accused of masterminding various bomb explosions in Udayapur and Siraha districts. Investigations into the matter have started, said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Udayapur DPO, Megh Raj Adhikari.
Earlier a week ago, Jit Bahadur Pulami Magar, a leader of the Chand-led Maoist party of Udayapur, was arrested on similar charges, according to District Police Office, Udayapur.
