Rautahat, April 26:

The Chure Bhawar Ekta Samaj (CBES) activists torched an Indian vehicle near Chandranigahpur on the Mahendra Highway today. The vehicle was headed for Garuda of Rautahat from Birgunj, the Chandranigahpur area police office said.

The CBES activists forced the passengers on the jeep to alight before setting it on fire, police said. Though police personnel were deployed on the highway, vehicular movement remained halted forcing the passengers to walk. There was no impact of the strike in other parts of the district, SP Yogeshwor Romkhani said.
