JANAKPURDHAM:  A VDC Secretary of Hanspur Kathapulla in Dhanusha district was arrested red-handed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse and Authority (CIAA) for receiving Rs 5,000 bribe from a service seeker.

The team deployed from Bardibas-based office of the CIAA arrested Nirsan Sah, while he was receiving the money in front of District Land Revenue Office on Thursday.

Sah was receiving bribe from a single woman to recommend transfer of a land to her name.

DSP Santosh Acharya informed that the team recovered Rs 200,000 more from the suspect.
