KATHMANDU: Reconstruction of Pilachhen Tole of Patan was inaugurated on Saturday and it will be rebuilt as citizens-led initiative. Eighty-two individual houses and other public structures damaged by the earthquakes of April and May will be reconstructed at a total cost of around Rs 400 million. The initiative taken by prominent people of the society aims to collect Rs 100 million to revive Pilachhen Tole to its original state with earthquake-resilient structures. Rest of the required resources will be mobilised through loans from financial institutions.
