Civic polls must, says Yadav

Rajbiraj, May 31

Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav today stressed the need to participate in the second phase of civic polls to safeguard the gains accomplished  so far.

Addressing his party’s programme in Saptari headquarter Rajbiraj, Yadav argued that the constitution had delegated many rights to the local bodies and Madhesi parties should avail them through their participation in the second phase of civic polls.

He urged the Madhesi parties and people to participate in the polls and exercise the rights guaranteed to them by the constitution.

“To safeguard the gains achieved so far and make the presence of Tarai/Madhes strong, parties have to participate in the polls,” Yadav added.

He reasoned that the Madhesi parties were not able to establish their agendas due to their weak performance in the last Constituent Assembly elections.
