Civic polls’ preparation completed in Dolakha

Preparations for local level elections slated for May 14 is almost completed in Dolakha.
According to District Election Office, Dolakha necessary preparation for civic elections was completed.
Chief at the office Satchyut Raj Uprety said that as many as 36 election symbols were provided to political parties and independent candidates in the district. He informed that security personnel, staffers, ballot papers, ballot boxes along with manpower and necessary voting materials have been placed at the polling booths.
Judge Rajendra Nepal at chief election officer’s office said staffers deployed for election had received letters and headed towards their duty stations. He said that as many as six staffers, including a voting officer would be deployed in a polling booth. It is said that the voting officer could appoint three volunteers in each voting centre to assist at the centre. Nepal further informed that as many as 1,600 staffers including volunteers were deployed in 178 voting centres for two municipalities and seven rural municipalities in Dolakha.
DSP Rabin Karki said that security had been tightened keeping elections in the district in mind. DSP Karki informed that 1,300 security personnel, including temporary police were deployed in the district.
Chief District Officer Yagya Raj Bohora said that 200 Armed Police Force and around 300 Nepali Army personnel were deployed for elections in the district.
