Consensus govt to address Madhes issues, says Dahal
KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said a national consensus government should be formed to rightly address demands of Madhesi communities.
Speaking with journalists at the Biratnagar Airport in Morang district on Saturday, Dahal said it was very possible to solve the existing crisis by addressing demands of the agitating communities.
"A national consensus government is a need of the nation today in order to solve problems facing te nation including demands of the Madhesi community," Dahal's secretariat quoted the leader as saying.
Dahal was in east Nepal today to address a cadres training programme of his party.
The Maoist leader further stated that the national consensus was also needed to hold elections at various levels as recently planned by the government.
He maintained that the party was positive on holding elections, but stressed that the government should move ahead taking major parties into confidence.
