Lalitpur, June 12:

Culture experts and human rights activists today laid stress on the need to conserve mother languages, cultural and ethnic features because they were integral part of human rights and also called the concerned sectors to raise such issues more actively. They were speaking at a seminar organised by the Human Rights Protection Centre (HGPC). Rights activists and chairman of HRPC Padma Ratna Tuladhar said, "The issues of mother language, cultural and ethnic identity are inseparable parts of the human rights and should be addressed accordingly." Culture expert Satya Mohan Joshi expressed his sadness over the least priority given by the government to the issues related to culture and ethnicity.
