'Constitution amendment bill to accommodate protestors'

DHADING: Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel said the Constitution amendment bill was forwarded to accommodate the Tarai-centric protesting parties in the Constitution implementation process and to establish their ownership of it.

In a press meet organised by the Press Union, Dhading chapter today, leader Paudel added that the people living in Tarai had the same level of patriotic feelings; therefore, they should not be understood differently.

He further shared that the NC proposed to hold the local bodies' election in existing setup as the new setup was not finalised yet. Poudel stated that the existing 75-district modality could not be replaced as the set up had a long attachment with people and the government had also spent huge budget there in the same way.
