KATHMANDU, MAY 27
Province 2 Police Office has issued a statement in regard to the incident that occurred on Wednesday in Gantaghar chowk, Birgunj Metropolis-8 in Parsa district.
A video footage was shared across social networking sites on Wednesday wherein a police officer could be seen barging into a medical supplies store and ruthlessly beating the store employee.

Outrage sparked over the incident as social media users responded to the video, demanding a probe and to bring the assaulter to book.
This is what they have been doing in birgunj.They don't ask the reason why is the person out of the house instead they ask chiya pani kharcha And when you don't give they start beating.what an authority given to them .

Releasing a press statement on Thursday, the Police Office expressed that its attention has been drawn towards the incident. "The Office has deployed a three-member investigation committee in coordination of Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasai and has started investigation into the matter.
"If the official under investigation is found guilty in course of investigation and upon reaching a conclusion, they will be dealt with as per existing police regulations," the office said.
