A coronavirus infected person died while receiving treatment at Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital early this morning.
The 37-year-old man from Jitpur-Simara Sub-Metropolitan City in Bara district had tested positive for the contagion on April 11.
He was admitted to the Narayani Hospital on Monday after having high fever, pneumonia and respiratory-related illness. Before this, he was receiving treatment at another hospital in Birgunj.
It has been learnt that he had returned home from the Indian city of Hyderabad some days ago.
Likewise, 40 people tested positive for Covid-19 out of 95 people, whose swab tests had been conducted in Narayani Hospital on April 12.
According to the hospital's Covid-19 Coordinator Dr Saroj Roshan Das, 37 infected persons are from Parsa and three are from Bara district.
