Dacoits loot property from 22 houses

Sarlahi, July 15:

Armed dacoits looted property worth Rs 800,000 from 22 houses at ward nos 4, 6 and 7 of Shreepur VDC last night.

Three villages were injured when the group of 25 armed dacoits beat them, said Nawal Kishor Raya, vice chairperson of Teachers’ Union (Sarlahi).

One local Nanda Kishor Raya (25) was injured from the bullet while Bishwonath Raya and Prakash Raya were injured from the beating of dacoits, said Nawal Kishor.

The injured are undergoing treatment in local health posts. Nagendra Raya of Khaiwa-4, said the dacoits looted gold and silver jewellry worth Rs 200,000.

A police officer at District Police Office said, dacoits looted property worth Rs 200,000 from 10 houses at Shreepur VDC.
