TULSIPUR: Prisoners of Tulsipur jail protested against the police shouting slogans and padlocking the main gate of the jail on Sunday. Protesters accused the policemen of preventing prisoners from meeting their relatives and neglecting sick prisoners in need of medical attention.

The atmosphere of the jail remained tense for sometime on Sunday. The jail has 80 prisoners including 27 former policemen who were dismissed from their jobs on charges of mutiny last year.
