DAMAULI: Odare village in Tanahunsur VDC in Tanahun district is in dark for last 10 days.

After a technical glitch in the 25-KV transformer, the village was deprived of electricity.

Due to problems in the transformer time and again, the villagers had to remain in dark in past also, informed local Tilak Adhikari.

Meanwhile, a group of around 50 people picketed the Sisaghat Community Electricity Service Centre operated by the Sisaghat Bazaar Development Committee of Damauli on Monday, informed another local, Indra Dura.

Earlier, local people had called concerned authorities for the maintenance.

However, due to lack of maintenance on time, the small industries operated in the village are badly affected.

Sisaghat Electricity Centre's chief Bidaya Devi Karmacharya said that the power would be supplied to the area soon as the Centre had already sent technicians to bring the new transformer.
