Deuba criticises Nepali Congress top leadership

POKHARA: Senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba charged that the top leadership did not want unity in the party and was responsible for factionalism.

Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala failed to unite the party and lead it, he said. According to him, Koirala have

made the cadres feel that there are two parties when he himself is the party president.

Speaking at the inaugural of programme organised to impart training on the party cadres in Pokhara today, Deuba

said the upcoming general convention of the party should for the party unity.

Deuba expressed his discontent over the vice-president of party, Ram Chandra Paudel, also, saying the latter did not play any role for the party unity.

Speaking at the same programme, Paudel pointed out the need for commitment to unite the party through the general convention. As the new constitution is democratic, he said, its implementation was possible in the leadership of Nepali Congress only.

General Secretary of the party Krishna Prasad Sitaula, and leaders Gopalman Shrestha, Arjun Narsingh KC and Dr Ram Sharan Mahat also addressed the programme.
