Dhading quake injured worry about future

DHADING: Injured in the April 25 earthquake, Gangjam Tamang (84) with her son Gopal Tamang (32), from the rural area of Jharlang-4 of the district, are receiving treatment at the District Hospital.

She is worried about next course of life after the being discharged from the hospital.

Like Gangjam and Gopal, Belam Tamang of Jharlang-3, who roams in the wheelchair around the hospital premises, is also worried about the livelihood after recovery.

These people are only representative characters.

People injured in the April 25 massive earthquake and its aftershocks in Dhading district are worried about their future after the recovery.

As many as 200 injured people from the five remote VDCs of the district were referred to Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan among others for the treatment.

However, the District Natural Disaster Management Committee does not have any record regarding their present condition.

Most of the injured are worried about the hospital charge for complete recovery as well as livelihood after the recovery as the government remained silent about the treatment expenses.
