KATHMANDU, JUNE 1
KMC Mayor Balen Shah has requested people not to misunderstand and misinterpret his meetings with former prime minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
He has been meeting high profile people of the country for betterment of the people of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
On his first day at office he met with the Chief of Army Staff Prabhu Ram Sharma. Today he met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
He shared the following message through his social media handle: Our goals are vast and sacred. Special and comprehensive thinking is needed to bring positive change in the lives of people.
For this, cooperation from every one is essential.
Politically, it was easier for us in this campaign because being independent does not mean running for office. Being independent also means being independent of any party or group or leader. It also involves practising respectful intimacy with everyone.
For the betterment, prosperity and positive change of Kathmandu, we have been meeting more and more personalities to discuss, gather suggestions and take initiative for cooperation.
This process started long before the announcement of the candidature and will continue later.
Due to time constraints someone may meet earlier or later. We appeal not to misinterpret and misunderstand it.
Earlier we met former prime minister KP Sharma Oli. Today we have met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
