BIRATNAGAR:

Central member of the Nepali Congress Dr Shekhar Koirala has accused the Maoists of not being serious about holding the constituent assembly polls.

He was speaking at a greetings-exchange programme organised by Nepal Trade Union Congress Eastern Region Committee and Morang District Committee on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.

Reiterating that the Nepali Congress has the policy of going for the polls by adopting the mixed election system based on consensus, he said the polls may have to be held without Maoists if they still hesitate to take part. MP Ashok Koirala said polls are inevitable. — RSS
