Damak, July 19:

Eight families of Mahabhara village development committee (VDC)-4 of Jhapa district have been displaced after their homes were swept away by flood in Kamal and Baniyani streams a few days back.

The displaced families have been taking shelter in their neighbour’s home, former chairman of Mahabhara VDC Bijaya Agrawal said, adding the families of Bhuwan Koch, Buddha Koch, Ganga Rajbansi, Budhlal Koch and Sewalal Koch were among those displaced.
