GAUSHALA, MAHOTTARI: A family delayed the final rites of a member to cast their votes in the third phase of local polls held on Monday, in Jaleshwar Municipality-6 in Mahottari district .

Naresh Mahara and the 12 members of his family delayed the cremation of their mother to cast their votes in local polls, according to local villager Ganesh Sah.

Geno Devi(49) died in the morning after which the family members decided to take part in the elections first that was being held after a hiatus of 20 years.

The family members queued up whole day to cast their votes at the National Primary School in Dhabauli area.
