Fire in Birgunj warehouse destroys property worth 1 million
PARSA: A fire that broke out in a warehouse in Birgunj of Parsa district has gutted property worth around Rs 1 million on Thursday.
According to Birta Ward Police Office, the fire broke out at around 3 am today in Binaji Women Grill Factory's warehouse in Rewti Sharma's house at Adarshangar in Birgunj.
Police said the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit.
In the fire, five tonnes of pulses, other food products and a generator stored in the warehouse were destroyed.
The fire was brought under control by a fire brigade of the Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City and locals after an hour.
