Seven rooms of the residential quarters of the Marsyangdi Hydro Project were damaged when a short circuit sparked a fire on Monday morning.

According to preliminary reports, property worth around Rs 1.4 million was gutted in the fire.

“Seven rooms of the building were completely damaged. Air conditioners, one television set, a refrigerator, furnitures and other valuables were also gutted,” the quarter management chief, Bindu Prakash Joshi, said.
