NUWAKOT: At least five persons were injured when a bus and a car collided head-on at Sukute area of Sangachok VDC in the road section of  Araniko highway in Sindhupalchok district on Saturday.

A passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 5861) heading towards Kathmandu from Dolakha collided head-on with a private car (Ba 4 Cha 3335) en route to Khandichaur from Kathmandu.

The injured were rushed to the Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment.

Three of the injured car passengers; Suresh Kusule, Deepak Kusule and Shyam Khadka of Tauthali VDC-3 of Sindhupalchok are reported to be in critical condition, Area Police Office, Bharabise informed.

The car has been completely damaged in the accident. The police have taken the bus driver under control for further investigation.
