‘Focus on problems’

PATHARI: Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar has said the major political parties should engage their concerted efforts on resolving problems that surfaced during the Tarai-Madhes agitation as it was the need of the hour.

Talking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport in Biratnagar, Morang, on Sunday, DPM Gachhadar spoke of the importance of forging consensus among Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist to settle the dispute of delineation of provinces.

Stating that problems would not be resolved by intensifying agitation and continuing with strikes, he urged the Madhesi Morcha to come to consensus respecting the aspirations of the people.

Gachhadar, also the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Works, clarified that the government would not be ousted until local polls, implementation of new constitution and completion of post-earthquake reconstruction tasks.
