Foreign pupils aid in building school

A group of 10 students from Singapore has been assisting in the construction of a school building at Amalachaur of Pumdibhumdi in Kaski.

Matrika Baral, a local teacher, took the initiative of developing infrastructure of the school. “The students of United World College Southeast Asia, who are just in their mid-teens, have been selflessly working for the past week. They will also help construct a community hall for public use,” said Baral.

The team comprises Aya Magrota, Cloi Switer, Shuva Nanda, Devika Singh, Joy Wilson, Tal Benami among others, who visited the school as part of their school project. The students will be awarded with grades or points based on the project prepared during their visit to a rural area in any Asian country. The college has sent some fund along with the volunteers.
