Former Prime Minister and senior UML figure Jhalanath Khanal is being taken to the Indian capital of New Delhi for treatment. He will fly to Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.
Khanal was receiving treatment at Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital where he was admitted to on June 14 following health complications.
He was receiving treatment with oxygen supply at Norvic and is now being taken to Delhi as his health condition has not improved as much.
The UML leader was taken to the hospital following complaints of high fever, fatigue, breathing difficulty, among other issues, which the doctors had said could be post Covid-19 complications.
Khanal had contracted Covid-19 in the early week of May.
