Four arrested for drug smuggling in Pokhara
POKHARA: Pokhara branch of the Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in controlled drug smuggling from local Lakeside on Monday.
The suspects include three men and a woman.
Police identified the suspects as 23-year-old Ramesh KC of Sunawal Municipality in Nawalparasi district, 22-year-old Alen Pun of Lekhanath Muncipality-13 in Kaski district, 28-year-old Chena Gurung and 24-year-old Nischal Shrestha from Naya Bazaar of Pokhara in Kaski district.
They were arrested in possession of 525 ampoules of various controlled pharmaceutical drugs, informed the District Police Office.
Police said they were involved in smuggling of the drugs to various parts of Pokhara.
Further investigation into the case is ongoing, added police.
