PATHARI: A fugitive charged with narcotics possession was detained on Sunday after being on the run for more than a year.

The detainee has been identified as Pradeep Kurmi of Biratnagar – 7, in Morang district.

Acting on tip-off, regional investigative team arrested Kurmi from his residence, DSP Krishna Prasad Pangeni said.

It has been reported that Kurmi was sentenced to two years imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 100,000 by the Appellate Court, Biratnagar on June 17, 2015.
