Kathmandu, January 17:

German ambassador to Nepal Franz Erwin Ring has expressed happiness over the latest developments in Nepal, including the beginning of the disarmament process and the Maoists’ entry into mainstream politics. Speaking at the launch of the Nepal-German Friendship Association in Lalitpur, he said he was happy at the latest turn of events. “Things are taking a positive turn in Nepal now. Promulgation of the interim constitution is one such thing. Germany will be extending cooperation as always,” Ring said.

The NGFA has Shyam Shrestha as president, Sumit Bajracharaya as general secretary and Anil Raj Rajbhandari as joint general secretary. The association has nine members.
