KATHMANDU: A girl died after she fell off the tractor she was travelling on in Shukla Gandaki Rural Municipality-8 of Tanahun district on Sunday, police said.

Police have identified the deceased as Roshani Thapa, 8-year-old daughter of Gunmaya Thapa of Rishing Rural Municipality-8 in the district.

The incident occurred when she fell off the tractor (Ga 1 Ta 4533) and came under the rear tire of the vehicle at 7:45 pm yesterday at Ganapate, killing her on the spot, according to police.

Meanwhile, Bekchautari-based Area Police Office has impounded the vehicle and detained its driver for further investigation, said police.
