Give priority to backwardplaces: Pandit

Siraha, March 13

Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit today urged the local levels to send plans and projects by according priority to backward places in terms of physical infrastructure and social development.

Inaugurating an orientation programme meant for the representatives of local levels in Lahan of Siraha’, Pandit stressed the need to accord top priority to backward places that are without connectivity while selecting plans.

He said the central government would choose the programmes and allocate the budget on the basis of work performance. He said that his ministry would select the projects and plans based on local needs sent by the local levels under the Tarai Mades Prosperity Programme under his ministry.

He said his ministry would send 20,000 employees to the local levels and provinces in a week and the remaining 30,000 employees would be appointed in agreement with Public Service Commission.
