KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 18
Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to achieving national prosperity through good governance.
Speaking at the inauguration of the First Lamjung Sports and Cultural Festival, organized by the District Sports Development Committee at Sahaji Playground in Besisahar Municipality-7 today, Minister Gurung emphasized the need to curb corruption to uphold good governance.
"The government is actively working to set the country on the right path by addressing existing weaknesses," he stated, adding, "We are currently in the phase of strengthening our economy."
As the government's spokesperson, Minister Gurung highlighted Lamjung's rich sports and cultural heritage, underscoring the importance of preserving and promoting it. "Sports is a crucial avenue for elevating the country's recognition on the international stage," he said, noting that such festivals help uncover hidden talents.
He also stressed the need for policy-level reforms to combat corruption effectively.
