Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stated that the government is focusing its attention on preparing new budgets, policies, and programs.

Speaking at a press meet organized by the district chapter of the Press Centre Nepal in Gorkha on Friday, the Prime Minister shared the government's preparations for presenting the budget using a new approach.

He emphasized that the government is transitioning to an advanced process for formulating budgets, policies, and programs, discontinuing the traditional approach and prioritizing productivity and job creation.

According to the Prime Minister, the federal government will only be responsible for projects exceeding Rs 30 million, while projects below this threshold will be handled by provincial and local governments.

He highlighted that the government has implemented a new approach to promote good governance, prosperity, and social justice, addressing issues such as the mismanagement of micro-finances through dialogue.

Additionally, he mentioned that the government has resolved severe issues related to usury and is actively working to address problems concerning cooperatives.

The Prime Minister also shared government successes, including reclaiming around 142 ropani of public land at Lalita Niwas, as measures for good governance.

He cited the government's efforts against fake Bhutanese refugees as evidence of its commitment to combating corruption, emphasizing that corrupt individuals will be apprehended at any time, as demonstrated by the government's response to the wide-body scam.

Prime Minister Dahal also noted that the government has instructed relevant bodies to ensure the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Budhigandaki Hydro Power Project.
