SIRAHA, MARCH 31

Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Lilanath Shrestha today said no law barred local levels from hiring employees for judicial committees.

At an interaction on enhancing capacity of judicial committees in Siraha headquarters, Shrestha said local levels could hire manpower for the judicial committee as well.

He insisted that the government had brought the idea of judicial committee with the aim of delivering justice to people at their doorsteps. "Dalits, impoverished, women and backward community people do not have access to justice.

Thus, judicial committees are formed at the local levels to deliver justice at people's doorsteps."

Shrestha reiterated that local levels should manage necessary infrastructure and appoint trained people in the judicial committees.

A strong will is enough to get things done, Shrestha added.

Noting that only physical development was deemed to be development in the country, Minister Shrestha stressed the need to consider investment and change in education, health and justice system as development as well.
