Gyanendra meets LK Advani
New Delhi, March 22,:
Former king Gyanendra Shah met the prime ministerial candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party, LK Advani, at the latter’s residence here today.
“It was a courtesy call, not a political meeting,” said a source close to Shah. A source close to Advani confirmed the half-an-hour meeting took place this morning. Shah, who came to attend a wedding ceremony of his relative in Madhya Pradesh three weeks ago, is likely to return to Kathmandu in a few days.
“We have not yet fixed the date of departure. The former king is still vacationing,” a source close to Shah told The Himalayan Times.
Last week Shah had paid a courtesy call on Indian National Congress President and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Shah had also met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
