Heat wave claims two in Saptari
RAJBIRAJ: Police said at least two persons died of heat wave in Saptari district on Sunday and Monday.
Lekhaman BK (45) from Neta Batase-9 of Solukhumbu district succumbed to excessive temperature in Mahuli Bazaar of Bakdhuwa village in Saptari on Monday.
BK, who has travelling on a Dharan-bound bus, had fallen unconscious due to the excessive temperature this afternoon.
The man had immediately breathed last, according to Kanchanpur Area Police Post.
On Sunday, 64-year-old Sanjha Devi Sardar had died of heat wave in Sambhunath Municipality-9 of Saptari.
Major market areas of the district wore a deserted look during the day time as people preferred to stay indoor to prevent themselves from the scorching sun.
Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital has reported rising number of patients of seasonal diseases.
