KATHMANDU, JULY 20

Multiple major highways across Nepal have been obstructed due to continuous rainfall, floods, and landslides, according to the latest update at 12: pm from the Nepal Police.

The situation has affected several provinces, with both full and partial obstructions reported in key road sections, significantly disrupting transportation and travel.

Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu: One-way traffic is operational on the Kathmandu-Nuwakot Road Section in Tokha Municipality-2 due to ongoing rain.

Koshi Province

Sankhuwasabha: Koshi Highway fully obstructed at Barun, Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 due to rain.

Panchthar: Mechi Highway blocked due to the flooding in Hewa Khola at Hilihang Rural Municipality-7 and Phiddim Municipality-9.

Tamor Corridor road section blocked at Tumbewa Rural Municipality-2 due to a landslide.

Mid-Hill Highway blocked at Rijal Cliff at Yangwarak Rural Municipality-3 and Dobhan atYangwarak-2 due to landslides and flooding.

Bagmati Province

Rasuwa: Pasang Lhamu Highway (Rasuwa area and Miteri Bridge, Nepal-China border bridge in Gosaikunda-2 fully obstructed due to flooding.

Gandaki Province

Baglung: One-way traffic at Dablyang in Baglung-10 on Kaligandaki Corridor due to the landslide.

One-way traffic at Kause at Galkot-11 on Mid-Hill Highway due to a landslide.

Full obstruction again reported at Dablyang in Baglung-10 later this morning.

Mustang: Jomsom-Lomanthang Road blocked at Chhursang and Tangbre in Baragung Muktikshetra-3 due to landslides.

Nawalpur (N. Purba): One-way traffic at Tarangkhola at Gaindakot-3 on Kaligandaki Corridor due to flooding.

Lumbini Province

Rolpa: One-way operational in Paribartan-4 on Shahid Highway due to landslide.

Full obstruction in Wards 1 and 2 of Thabang Rural Municipality along the Shahid Highway due to the landslide.

Karnali Province

Rukum West: Jajarkot-Dolpa Bheri Corridor road section fully blocked at Rijigar at Aathbiskot-6 due to flooding.

Sudurpaschim Province

Baitadi: Mahakali Highway fully blocked at Dasharath Chand-8 due to a landslide.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid non-essential travel in affected areas and exercise caution as weather conditions remain unstable.

Road clearance efforts are underway in several locations.
