KATHMANDU, JULY 15

Nepal Police has issued a highway obstruction alert across several provinces as monsoon-induced floods and landslides continue to impact major roadways.

According to the latest notice updated at 9:00 AM on July 15, multiple highways remain either fully or partially blocked, affecting transportation and travel nationwide.

Koshi Province:

- Koshi Highway in Barun, Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4, Sankhuwasabha, has been completely obstructed since June 20 due to continuous rainfall.

Bagmati Province:

- The Pasang Lhamu Highway and the Nepal-China connecting bridge in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2, Rasuwa, have been completely blocked following the July 8 flood.

Gandaki Province:

- Kaligandaki Corridor in Dabalyang, Baglung Municipality-10, is partially open due to a landslide on July 2.

- Madhyapahadi Lokmarg in Kause, Galkot Municipality-11, is also partially open following a landslide on July 14.

Lumbini Province:

- Kaligandaki Corridor in Gargare, Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-1, Gulmi, is partially open due to a landslide on July 12.

- However, the same corridor in Barlaba, Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-6, is completely obstructed since July 13.

- Sahid Highway in Gramjim, Parivartan Rural Municipality-5, Rolpa, is partially open due to a landslide on July 14.

- Bagdula-Machhi Road Section in Hadigaira, Pyuthan Municipality-10, is also partially open following a landslide on July 13.

Karnali Province:

- Jajarkot-Dolpa-Bheri Corridor in Rijigar, Aathbiskot Rural Municipality-6, Rukum Paschim, is completely blocked due to a flood on June 23.

- Bheri Corridor inChhalghat, Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-1, Dolpa, is also completely obstructed following a flood on June 18.

Nepal Police has advised the public and travelers to exercise caution and verify route conditions before travel.
