RAUTAHAT, OCTOBER 30
Hindu organisations organised a massive motorbike rally in Rautahat today.
The rally started from Shivanagar-based Mahadev temple with its participants demanding an end to the suppression of Hindus and early arrest of the murderers of priest Shreeram Sah.
Besides, they also chanted slogans hailing the unity among Hindus. Last year, Shreeram Sah, who was the priest of the Hanuman temple of Khasarhiya of Madhav Narayan Municipality, was shot dead while he was having his meal at about 9:00pm on August 26.
Shekh Nurula, Ward 1 chair of Dewahi Gonahi Municipality, Karuniya - who as the main accused of the murder - didn't present himself at the police office but directly presented himself at the court and was released on bail the same day.
Regarding the release of the ward chair on bail, the victims have been staging protests citing the police administration's and the judiciary's role in relation to this case.
