Nepali Congress Tanahun former secretary Bishwo Bastola has declared his independent candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary election.
He made the announcement on social media platform on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the news that he will be contesting in the upcoming November election as an independent candidate has caused some uproar in the political scenario here.
Most think that Bastola, as a young candidate, will appeal to the young demography and will be able to steal a significant number of votes.
With Bastola's candidacy, there are telltale fears there will be independent candidacies from other parties as well.
